I’m making a Mid Century Modern Bookshelf for my bedroom. I chose 3/4” sande plywood for the material as well as Espresso colored oil based stain and oil based polyurethane finish.
Updated CAD:
Below are pictures of my progress thus far, I simplified my design even further in order to have the time to complete it, and laid everything out in panel pieces in CAD. I then went ahead and cut out all of the rectangular shaped pieces on the table saw , making sure to cut everything to size, sometimes doing multiple small cuts in order to ‘inch’ my way closer to the proper size. After cutting all the panels out I got around to routing the shelf legs. I made a makeshift router table using a palm router (slightly dangerous…) and routed the table legs out to be identical size and shape.
Lastly I spent some time testing stains and finishes, before I assemble and glue-up the full shelf!

Great work, man. Being able to update the design to account for the time crunch really shows your design ability. Nice work making the best out of what you got.
Hey Matt, this is a super cool project! It looks like you have made some great progress over the past couple weeks. I like how you tested a bunch of different stains before applying one to the full piece. I look forward to seeing the end result!
