As of now, I have begun further stages of my project.

Earlier this week, I finally got the plates for my controller laser cut.

(Figure 1): Laser cut plate

The buttons I have ordered fit perfectly in the holes made on this plate, which is a relief. Three of these plates were made, one which will stay transparent, one that will be painted, and one for backup in case something happens to the other two.

The base still needs to be 3D printed, but I am less concerned about that as the Aesthetic part of this project is how I paint this plate. The CAD model for the base is still undergoing some changes now that I have the physical plates in my hands.

I have purchased the required materials for replicating the album cover for Boston’s “Boston,” including paint, brushes, watercolor pens. I am not an expert at painting by any means, so I am trying to simplify the art of this album cover as much as I can. Once that is done, I can let this dry and can realistically attach all of the buttons, with the electronics being prioritized for later.

I like playing fighting games, so the image and title on the post drew me in. As for the content itself, I would like to see at least a screenshot of the button that you ordered, along with the CAD model in SolidWorks, or an image of the laser cutting in action. That would be great for documenting your progress. I appreciate that you are making the board personal by painting it. Either way, this cutout for the button looks great. I hope that your process goes smoothly, and I am looking forward to this project.

I would love if you included a small recap for what your project is for those who haven’t read previous posts! Also I would like to see the CAD progress! But it is cool that you’ve completed some laser cutting, and it seems like you have a great handle on what your project needs.
