Bioactive Terrarium Progress

My bioactive terrarium has been cleaned, hardscaped, and planted- now all that is left to do is clean the glass, invest in a high quality LED light, and wait for it to grow it (the hardest part!). Right now, the most crucial part of this process is making sure the humidity stays as high as possible inside the terrarium. I am utilizing an automatic misting system and a glass cover for the screen top to help keep humidity inside. Right now, it looks very bare, but as it grows in the empty spaces will fill up with plants and moss.

This looks so peaceful already, Ayesha! I love how you’re letting nature do its thing while also supporting it with tech like the misting system. Can’t wait to see how the plants grow and fill in those spaces. It’s giving calm forest vibes already 🌿✨

Hello Ayesha, I am quite amazed in the progress of this project and I am looking forward to seeing the plants starting to grow. Have you considered using any fertilizers or any other ways to accelerate the growth of the plants. I really like the added complexity of the wood structure!

Hi David, thank you so much! I have not, mainly because there’s not a lot of fertilizers that would be safe for the geckos.
