For the project, I believe I will be doing an upcycling aesthetic. This may seem a bit similar to the previous project, but I am not recycling anything but rather reusing whatever item I find online. At the moment I am looking at a leather briefcase that I may go to purchase later this week. An upcycled briefcase could likely contain patches of different fabric covered around giving the accessory a unique feel. I want to do a briefcase out of all things because I think they are very cool and dapper. If I had a briefcase I would feel like a million bucks. I am hoping the modified briefcase embraces a raw, artistic, and unique feel to it. The leather could be intentionally distressed which would give it a well-worn, character-rich appearance. Hand-painted details, such as abstract patterns, symbols, or even nature-inspired motifs, could add a personal touch, making each piece unique. Fabric patches, possibly from old denim, canvas, or repurposed garments, are stitched onto the surface, reinforcing a rugged, DIY feel. The hardware—buckles, locks, and clasps—may be sourced from other vintage items, enhancing the sense of history and craftsmanship. The result is a briefcase that tells a story, reflecting both creativity and a commitment to reimagining the old into something new and exciting.

On the other hand, the cyberwear aesthetic takes the briefcase in a completely different direction, transforming it into a sleek, futuristic, and tech-infused statement piece. The design prioritizes functionality and innovation, incorporating LED strips or glow-in-the-dark accents for a high-tech, neon-lit look. Reinforced hardened edges and additional straps could give the briefcase an industrial, tactical feel, suggesting durability and adaptability. The locking mechanism could be modernized with biometric security or coded entry, further enhancing the futuristic appeal. I am not sure how feasible this would be, but it would be cool. Having a clock and potentially weather display on the top would be really cool, but I would need to figure out how to attach it and alter the leather. The materials used might include synthetic fabrics, hardened plastic elements, or water-resistant coatings, ensuring both style and practicality. This approach turns the briefcase into a cyberpunk-inspired accessory, perfect for someone into tech-wear or something of the sort. At the moment I am leaning towards the cyber one as I think it would be more fun and end up looking cooler.
