RAUH-Welt BEGRIFF, founded by the visionary Akira Nakai in the late 1990s, challenges the norms of traditional aesthetics. Nakai-san’s approach to Porsche customization gives rise to a radical reinterpretation of these iconic vehicles. The outcome is a harmonious blend of wide-body kits, exaggerated rear wings, lowered suspensions, and bold designs, pushing the boundaries of what we expect from automotive aesthetics.

At the heart of this automotive art movement is Akira Nakai himself. His hands-on craftsmanship and unwavering commitment to perfection elevate RWB Porsches beyond typical car modifications. Each Porsche transformed by Nakai-san becomes a unique piece of art, a testament to his dedication to seamlessly blend form and function.

What sets RWB Porsches apart is the fusion of influences from Japanese street racing culture and European design sensibilities. The aesthetic, though unconventional at first glance, unfolds as a visually striking masterpiece. The juxtaposition of aggressive fender flares against the classic Porsche silhouette creates an aesthetic tension that captivates enthusiasts and has been proven to provoke a reaction on both side of the spectrum with some praising the designs and others who believe cars shame the classic silhouette of Porches

RAUH-Welt BEGRIFF has not only redefined automotive customization but has turned it into an  art form celebrated by enthusiasts worldwide. Beyond being high-performance vehicles, RWB Porsches have become cultural icons, admired for their artistic merit. Nakai-san’s influence extends beyond the automotive realm, inspiring a new wave of creativity that transcends traditional boundaries. These customized Porsches stand as living canvases, illustrating the boundless possibilities when creativity and craftsmanship converge.

  • I too am a big fan of Akira’s work and it’s amazing to see what he can do on these cars. Many of which start as base shells with excessive engine swaps and other modifications. Something that is really cool about these cars is the fact that none of them are the same. Each car is hand built by Nakai himself often flying to different parts of the world to create them. Another interesting thing is that each of these cars has a name decided by Akria Nakai which is often displayed on the side-skirt or other part of the car. Great post!
