Today’s post will be light on words and heavy on progress.
Over the past week, the tools have gone from vague amorphous math, solid works designs, and flimsy 3D prints to the beginnings of the real thing. There’s lots of work to still be done in finishing them and making them usable, refined, and aesthetic. As they are though, they are absolutely gorgeous and just super compelling objects to hold and handle. They make me so excited to test, climb, adventure, and compete on them.
Massive thanks to Elvin C. for this step, we worked on our designs entirely separately and they will embody our own aesthetics in the end, but I absolutely could not have manufactured them without his dedication and expertise.

Great work on this. Its evident you have invested a lot of time into this project. The machining and metal working looks super clean cut. Cant believe it hardly weighs anything!
I’m curious if you had previously worked in a machine shop or how you got so experienced doing this? Keep it up!
Wow. These look incredible already. I would think they’d have some hefty weight just by their looks. It’s hard to believe they are that light. I can’t wait to see them once you are done the finishing process.
