The top sketch is the aesthetic I plan on using for my project. In incorporates aspects and recognizable aesthetics from my favorite bands from the 70’s and 80’s. This includes Pink Floyd with the prism in the middle and the brick side, Van Halen with the design of Eddie Van Halen’s guitar on the left side, The Rolling Stones tongue logo, the painting on Led Zeppelin’s Zeppelin IV album, and ACDC’s lightning logo. The aesthetic below that is a gothic revival aesthetic with crosses, quatrefoils, gothic like windows, and dead animals. If I chose this aesthetic I would attempt to make the body of the record player black or very dark grey.
The last aesthetic I choose to sketch was a space themed aesthetic. this includes planets, a rocket, an alien space ship, a solar system, and a NASA logo. If I choose this aesthetic I would make the entire background black and splat white spots to represent stars. I might even add a bright sum to add a pop of color to an other wise dark piece.

Hey Grant, I think that my favorite of your sketches is the space themed one. Do you have a favorite yourself?
Grant, I really like how you chose two completely different aesthetics to envision your artifact. Do you think the sketching exercise helped you narrow down to one idea?
