The idea that I want to pursue is a large floor pouf that looks like a giant tomato pin cushion. I have been playing with this idea in my head for a long time now, mainly to find a use for all my scrap fabric and batting. I will be calling on the arts and crafts movement, to show the slow, simple process of creating a specified piece for a home, and I will be referencing pop art, with the pushing of object size to a comical degree.
I have printed out a large fabric sphere pattern for this purpose, as well as making a star shape to act as the top leaf part. I will also need to pattern out a cone shape for the little chile (I think that’s what it is…) to hang off the side
I plan to buy the outer fabric, but then stuff the cushion with all the leftover fabric, fiber, yarn, and stuffing I have left over from other projects. I will also be using an invisible zipper the same color as the main fabric so I can stuff the cushion to my liking, or add more in the future.

Hey Lily, I liked your idea and think it would be a great design and a cool aesethic piece to have in your house. It has a practical use but also shows creativity with the pin pad imitation. Excited to see where you take this and how difficult it may be to put together.
Wow, this looks really cool! I am curious to know how large this pouf will be when all is said and done. Do you have an estimate for the diameter? Also, I always wondered what the little chilli pepper was too…
