Upcycling Project Update – PTFE Sculpture

My project is about re-using the spare PTFE tubing that would otherwise be thrown away. I will use this tubing to display an update to my most successful design which is my Magnetic PTFE Joiners. I want to make a desktop-sized sculpture that has arching tubes connected by my magnetic PTFE joiners.

    Hi Will, this is a good update to your project. Displaying another design you have already made is an interesting way to approach this project. Since this is a display piece, what are the ways you intend to best showcase the design? Is it purely through demonstrating the connectors functionality or is there a hands on aspect to it as well? Other than the purely industrial aesthetic, do you believe this interactivity could contribute to the aesthetic as well? I’m excited to see how this turns out.
