As I said in my previous post, my upcycling project will consist in building a wall hanger with spark plugs and wood following a Industrial design aesthetic. I have a clear design in my mind of what I want the hanger to look like. So far I have gathered half of the materials, 8 spark plugs and I haven’t been able to find a good wood board for my needs.
I won’t content myself with any wood board I find, I am looking forward to find a solid wood board, not any conglomerate. I will try to get it for free. After that I will use the university facilities to machine the holes for the spark plugs. Although, I don’t have a clear view whether to use 6 or all 8 of the spark plugs because I don’t want to end with a too long hanger.

Hi Pere
I am really into automobile development and also creating something functional. So I appreciate your idea of creating a hanger from spark plugs!
I was wondering, if could there be a way to create an interesting and dynamic pattern or arrangement that adds visual interest to the hanger?
Overall, I am excited to see how it develops as you continue to gather materials and work on the design.
Pere I know how much you love working with cars and I feel like a spark plug is something so core to that. Incorporating that into your piece will have a lot of meaning for you!
Solid wood boards usually have a cool rustic natural wood pattern to them but do you plan to apply any kind of finishing to fit your aesthetic. Varnish, Shellac, Polyurethane, French Polish? Possibilities are endless so it will be nice to see what pairs best with that industrial style look.
