As a statement of meaning, this seems like a very ambitious project operating within the field of automation and electronics, with an important functional requirement in refrigeration. I wish Davis the best of luck completing the functional structure of this drink maker and applying a compatible aesthetic!
Davis,
Statements of meaning:
I like the drawing-focused slides.
I like how in-depth the presentation was. The use of detailed plans and drawings left me with few questions.
Neutral questions:
Have you thought about using a mini-fridge as your case?
Also, have you considered the fact that alcohol spoils with air?
Davis –
Davis I really like your product inspiration, as it is very practical and I could see it having real-world appliance, being it an idea that your friend, a bartender, would like to see. Bummer that it is something that is already being done, but It provides that much more of a challenge in making yours stand out. I really appreciated your initial designs that you mocked up in your presentation, as it gave a great overview of your vision and the components that will be included in your project. I like how early you have bought your materials given your awareness of lead times. The stainless steel vinyl is a very good idea and keeps in mind the overall price of the product. Having all of the pumps, cooling system, sheer size, heat syncs, how much do you imagine your project will be? Is this going to limit your product design? Are there any alternatives or backup products that can be achievable if you cannot meet the project deadline? Do you think you will be doing any CAD designing? And lastly, can you provide any more in-depth details with variations of your aesthetic, besides just the stainless steel vinyl that you plan to use?
Best- Will
My preference would be a knob to see all the options, and a separate button to choose.
Your project seems really complicated compared to most others, but since you’ve already done a lot of work and have solid design I think you’re set to actually complete this thing. The real world application here is pretty awesome too, if you could have your product used in an actual restaurant that’s a big accomplishment.
Do you plan on having a set drink list or would you plan on making it so people can make their own combinations?
I really like that this is more of a functional product idea as opposed to just something for a class project!
Do you think you’ll have enough time to finish this project? It sounds awesome, but mechanically complicated..
