So far, I’ve started gathering plastic spoons and I’ve collected a few empty soda bottles. I will still need to get a light bulb cord and a light bulb for my project. I’ve also started considering the different shapes I could create. I did some more research on the idea I had for my project and I found some similar ideas that were in the shapes of various flowers and even fruit such as a pineapple. So going forward, I need to finalize what shape I plan on creating and the color of the spoons I want to create a different effect. I also want to look into and decide if I want to include the plastic spoon handles in my project as well.

I am doing the same project. I am curious to find out what color spoons, light, and plastic bottles you use. Mine turned out surprisingly well. The process turned out to be pretty tedious. I would recommend using a smaller bottle over a bigger one. I also used a lot more spoons than I thought I would need. I really like the pink flower design in your post. It would be great if you tried to recreate that.
This seems like an interesting project, I would never have though that you can give plastic spoons interesting designs like in the last image. I feel like I have a lot of questions when thinking about the material. How much you will need to cover the lamp so that it is bright enough; I feel like the material of a spoon is pretty opaque and your end project would have to “open up” more that the images that you post above. Another thought is heat, could the lamp potentially be a fire hazard if the lampshade ends up resting on the bowl? Also, how will you get that many used spoons all in one place?
