For my final project, I am creating a kinetic motion machine that serves no functional purpose. I have chosen only to create something based on a visual aesthetic.
Already have: Wood for the base, nail gun for fastening, and wood stain.
April 4th: Order blue and white acrylic, spacers, and hex bolt.
April 4-8: Plane the wood down and create the base structure
April 8 (2 day shipping at best): Laser cut the acrylic once it arrives
April 9-18: Insert dowel pins, turn the shaft on a lathe, attach hex bolt, glue spacers to the rotating shaft, and stain the base.
April 18-21: Prepare my final slideshow presentation
April 22: Present the final project to my pod

The 3D Model looks great! Your timeline looks very doable considering the progress you have already made. Cheers
One of my favorite projects, I’m glad I helped give you some inspiring ideas for it. If you need any help, don’t hesitate to let me know.
Clare great work I’m looking forward to seeing the final product. Although you have an excellent plan for the manufacturing schedule, I would be concerned with the fit between your holes and shafts and would do a test fit prior to laser cutting the final design it could probably be useless but it could also save you a lot of time and money.
I think this will be a really cool final product once you are done making it. You have a good plan on how you will finish this project on time. It will probably be good to know all of the lead times of your materials being ordered and have some cushion in case some of those parts get delayed when shipping.
