For the Aesthetic game in class we were assigned to create a sketch of a shelving unit created with the art deco aesthetic. In order to do this, we took inspiration from buildings that were created in the art deco style such as the empire state building. To do this, we created a single unit of a table with legs that resemble geometric patterns that are often seen in art deco.
The idea is that every leg looks the same and is made of gold metallic material. The top of the shelf is dark stained wood. In between we have lines and scallops going down to sides to add support. The idea is that many of these tables would be stacked to create a shelving unit.
The team members that worked on this are: Taylor Whittemore, Nicole Maggio, Andre Gruber, Britney Callens
