This was a sweet project! I like that the movie itself didn’t use a working model but you made one. I am so sorry that someone at expo broke the piece! Great work!

Hey Katie, I really liked how your project turned out! Especially with wood as the material. Nice job! I think the whole concept from the beginning was very unique. Awesome job!

I like the selection of wood that you used for your final project it’s a very sleek looking material that really adds to the aesthetic. The darker color gives the project a sense of mystery

I am very impressed with your final product. I like how you were able to see the problems that arose within your prototype and fix them on your final version. I think that adding a space for a picture would add to the product, but is not necessary.

I thought your first prototype was very well done and it was great that you were able to discover those minor design flaws before you attempted your final product. The dynamic aspect was very unique and it was very enjoyable to play with. It was an illusion itself. The wood version turned out great! Great job on the carving, it looks professionally done!

I know you struggled with 3d printing this a little bit, so I’m sure that making it out of wood was a huge undertaking. The wood looks like it is finished nicely and you stuck to your original aesthetic quite well.

    Hi Katie
Your post could use a featured image. I really liked the see-through CAD you had in your presentation, that made it much easier to understand how it worked. I’m still a little confused on how you manufactured the wood version. In the future some in-action pictures would be awesome. Also, good job on doing some research into other similar projects, although you didn’t put any references in your presentation. I think your project is unique in that it showed a high amount of craft-womenship.

I really like this project, its really cool that it actually has two shapes too. The finishing is great and smooth and the aesthetic is very well presented. Like we mentioned in the presentation, you could look into having a picture inside that would be really nice. However, great job and thanks for sharing.
