This project was wicked rad Ryan. Your application of a variety of skills to this project is very impressive and the result totally worth it! The frame for your mirror looks very classic and traditional which I think pairs in a great way with the almost futuristic feel of the smart mirror. I do think it was cool not limiting yourself to an infinity mirror because having the mirror be ‘smart’ really makes it for me. It’ll be super nice if you’re ever getting ready in the morning – you’ll have time, weather, and traffic reports right in front of you! Great work!
This mirror came out looking great! I really like the subtly of the text shining through the mirror. The wood aesthetic is a great contrast to the futuristic theme of the smart mirror. You did a great job on the wood working! It would be awesome if you end up hiding some speakers somewhere so that you could play some videos. Great work!
Excellent job! I am impressed by your application of software, hardware, and aesthetics to accomplish this project.
This is a super cool project!!! I would love to have one of these in my house in the future, and its cool to see that you made it yourself without to much coding trouble. I think it would be cool to add music to the mirror, but I wouldn’t add too many more widgets because it will turn into a smart phone instead of a mirror. Additionally, your woodworking is beautiful and I like that you used wood glue and dowels instead of nails — its much more aesthetically pleasing.
I like the you have a clear aesthetic. The contrast of the high tech display with the rustic, luxurious aesthetic of the frame is very appealing to me. I think you have done a great job with the woodwork and the craftsmanship is absolutely brilliant. It is as high tech as a great piece of art. The stained wood is great and the looks like a great mirror even when the display is off. Kudos!

I was so excited to see how your mirror turns out. I should say, it didn’t disappoint. I really like the aesthetic of the wooden frame. It gives a antique look to a futuristic product. Its amazing you things you can do with a raspberry pie. Great Work!!
Nice work on the frame, looks very classy. Did you have to learn the woodworking techniques or were you applying existing knowledge to get it looking so good?
This is one of the coolest projects I have seen. The construction is incredible. I like how you used laser cutters, woodworking shop, and raspberry pi! This must have been a lot of work but the final result is incredible! For the youtube part, there wouldn’t be any sound right? This is amazing though, I am going to try and build it.
