Considering that I already have a functional prototype, I estimate that I will need only about 7 hours of work to create my first MoonSkate design. However, using the rule of 7, this means that I need an additional 49 hours of work in order to reach a desirable design.

Allocation of time (49 hours):

  • Gathering and preparing materials (5 hours)
    • elastic bands
    • obtaining foot straps
    • spray paint
    • peel and stick paper
    • underglow lights
      • LED lighting kit
  • Fabrication and testing (30 hours)
    • Cutting and threading elastic bands through foot straps
    • Tying elastic bands around assembly
    • Stress testing with weight
    • Applying paper and spray paint to exterior
    • Pasting LED lights and testing
  • Additional testing and touch ups (14 hours)

Cyron, I think it was really smart how you laid out the work for your project into hours instead of days. A lot of times in scheduling its hard to see how long the actual work will take and that is a great way to budget your time and then put it into a day to day calendar. Seems like you have a good handle on your project so far. Good luck!!
