As my senior year comes to an end, I do not plan on leaving academia. I’ll probably stick around as long as I can, because I never want to stop furthering my education. Like my mom, I want to become a teacher and help as many students as I can. Right now, staying in school is my personal aspirations.

As far as skill sets, I’m a pretty capable mechanical engineering student. I teach CAD workshops at the ITLL in addition to designing and fabricating suspension on the Baja team. I have a fair share of knowledge in arts and in the industrial setting. I also make really yummy nachos! 🙂

  • That’s sick that you’re doing baja! I hope to get that next year, it sounds like a really cool project. I am sure that working with such a project as that will help you be of assistance in making a dynamic sculpture, I gotta imagine there are some crazy dynamic design problems on baja. You have no urge to go in into the real world eh?

I really respect the drive to learn. That is a trait almost all engineers share but the fact that you want to use that calling to teach is even more admirable. I really wanted to be on the baja team, that is so cool you are.

  • I’m jealous that you’re on baja! I’m taking senior design next year and am applying for the project for sure! But anyways it sounds like you have a lot of design experience, especially through CAD and engineering. Plus nachos are a must for making it through any project.
