To be honest, I’m pretty similar to most engineers in my skill sets at this time in my life. I do have pretty extensive knowledge of SolidWorks (who doesn’t though…). Along with that, I have a descent understanding of mechanical drawings, especially using GD&T. I also have a fairly good knowledge of the fabrication and assembly process and will be willing to help out my teammates with any issues they might run into. I’m always willing to help out and can pick up on a design quickly and think of ways to improve on the spot. Other than that, like I said before, pretty similar to most engineers in their college career.
As for my aspirations, I have a descent idea of where I want to end up. Currently I want to go into the aerospace industry and design spacecraft. After working in the industry for a little, I love how custom most of it is. If that doesn’t work out though, I would love to get my hand dirty in the outdoor equipment realm. Specifically in the chair lift or ski binding side of it.

I think you’re definitely downplaying your skills! I’m sure you have certain things you’re better at some things than a general ME. The aerospace industry would be great to work in!
