Greetings!
Over the spring I have obtained everything I wanted, I have an initial design and started cutting and putting fine print layouts on the address. Although, I have not attached anything to the dress prominently. I am still struggling with the batteries, I need to figure that out. This weekend I will be attaching things on the dress and working more extensively to figure out the battery issue. As far as for the design, I am honestly going by personal taste not following any genre or specific art. However, I am sure that my own taste is being influenced by one or multiple genres thus I have to do some research (probably next week) to find out. That is, as I said previously, it would be great to associate my project with an art.

I like that you are focusing on personal taste, rather than pulling directly from an existing style. It is often fun to see where your own creative taste will take you. At the end it will be interesting to see if it correlates to any design movements or monumental fashion designers. As we live in a world that is so saturated with commercialism we are often being influenced even if we are not aware it is happening.
It sounds like the circuit is probably one of the critical components of your project. I would try to solve that first before continuing anything else. I’m also quite curious about what aesthetic(s) you’re going for. I would imagine that the lights sort of fall under the post-modern aesthetic (I could be wrong).
Hi Anfal, I think your project has the potential to be visually very interesting. I would be happy to help you design the electric circuit you’ll need for the design that we talked about in class. I also have very small 500 mAh battery that you could borrow to test out for your design. The primary challenge I think will be incorporating the battery, Arduino and voltage booster into small enough package to fit comfortably in the dress. See you in class –
I love the idea of dress design and I am sure that even the style and shape of dress is from a certain era. What style are you wishing to portray? What colors are you using? I would love to see picture of your progress. I am not exactly sure about what battery issues you are facing, but I know that is probably the easiest to attach batteries to the structure of the dress like close to the bodice.
