This semester, I am hoping to learn a lot more about how to design things in order to be both functional and visually appealing. I would love to work in product design and development after I graduate and aesthetics play a huge role in that field. Most of the design work that I have done is very linear and does not vary much from simply being functional. The reason why I want to work in this field is because I love being able to envision an idea, follow the design process, and come out with a tangible item based on those ideas. So far, I have worked extensively with CNC machining, 3D printing, and laser cutting but would love to expand my skills to be better at implementing them into product design. Another thing that I would love to learn this semester is how to weld. Welding seems like a super cool and powerful way to implement ideas, especially for personal projects
