My top 5 constraints for creating my gear clock will be:
- Aesthetic
- Functionality
- Materials
- Time
- Budget
The aesthetic that I am envisioning for this project is steam punk. I have always been intrigued with this specific aesthetic and I think that this is the perfect opportunity to learn more about it. I want this clock to be fully functional and ideally have a permanent spot in my bedroom. I want this clock to be as precise as possible with minimal error over time, this will most likely tie into the materials that I select. The materials that are going to be used are going to have to be quality materials that will stand the test of time. I am planning on using the laser cutter to make the design as precise as possible which will allow the clock to be very precise. I am not looking to break the bank on this project but at the same time if the clock is of good quality it has the potential to go for a good price. I am willing to put forth the time (pun intended) that it takes to produce a quality product in the end.

Marcus Gurule, I think that a steam punk sounds really interesting, I am not to familiar with steam punk but I would be interested in the overall weight of your design and whether that will impact your gears. I liked your pun. & If you need any assistance I would be willing to put forward some help.
Steam punk sounds interesting ! I wonder how you will manage to buy cheap metal or maybe use wood and buy metallic paint ?
