I have been thinking a lot recently about making a Nespresso capsules dispenser, but I have not yet had the chance to do so. Therefore, I decided to to make the dispenser as part of this class first, because it is something that is open ended and can be made depending on my personal lifestyle, and second, because it will motivate me to actually start working on it since it is now part of a class.

To be honest, I still have no idea how exactly I am going to make it or how it is going to look like, but I am planning on adding movable parts like a button that you need to press to dispense a capsule or a rotating table that allows access to all sides easily, etc. As of now, the main material I am thinking about using is acrylic and/or PLA (3D printing). In addition, I would like to use some springs with the movable parts if I had the chance to, but I still do not have a clear idea of how. To make the project more interesting and appealing, I am planning on engraving on the project, adding some colors, integrating an aesthetic and unique way to dispense the capsules.

As of now, I will be sketching some ideas, 3D model the ones that I think might work, and refine the ideas more and more until I have a model that I feel I am satisfied with. Some examples of different coffee capsules dispensers are shown below.

    Abdul,
I love the idea and I think it is setting the bar quite high for this project. I am excited to see how it turns out. It may be helpful to add some more detail in terms of how you actually intend to carry out this project. Personally it seems quite difficult but i dont think that should stop you! What kind of electronics do you plan on using for this?

Thank you Nate! I did not add a lot of details because I did not have a complete idea in my mind. I am still thinking about the details and how to work everything together. I am planning on using the laser cutter as the main method of getting most things done just because it can make intricate shapes and is relatively a fast process.
As of this moment, I do not plan on using electronics; I am planing on using moving parts though like buttons or rotating parts.
